Scribe Publishing Inc. is a trauma-informed literary nonprofit dedicated to helping young people in protective services reclaim their voices and build pathways toward healing and opportunity.
We believe that every young person deserves safe spaces to process their experiences, tell their stories, and envision their future. Through structured storytelling programs and guided publishing support, we help youth move from surviving to being seen, heard, and supported.
Each year, thousands of young people age out of foster care and other protective systems without safe avenues to process their experiences, advocate for themselves, or articulate goals for their futures.
These young people face compounding risks: heightened vulnerability to homelessness, unemployment, justice involvement, and unmet mental health needs. Without access to healing spaces and pathways for self-expression, they're left to navigate trauma alone.

Scribe programs are designed to be accessible to all young people in protective services, regardless of their background, ability, or experience with writing. We provide stipends for participation and remove barriers to access so that cost is never a reason a young person can't join us.
